For many years I have used the following poems at the end of the school year.
I print out the following poem for each student and place it in a frame as a student gift. We have our spring program the week before school ends and I take a picture with each student to use for this gift. I created it in PowerPoint which makes it very easy to edit for each student. I simply change the photo and student name and print. They are always a hit!
This next poem is also always a hit with parents and students for years to come. I have used it as part of my student memory books and also as a cover for student portfolios which showcase students’ work throughout the year.
The poem contains a string which is as long as the height of the student at the end of the school year. Parents and students love getting it out in the years to follow and seeing how much the child has grown! It is a wonderful keepsake!

I have used these next 2 poems in student memory books and DVDs. We have also read them during our graduation ceremony.

Just wanted to point out a spelling error on the first poem with the picture frame Kindergarten 2016: “threw” should be “through”
Thank you!
