Mother’s Day Craft & Free Download

I love finding new ideas for Mother’s Day so that mothers will be surprised. I came up with this idea because we were learning about butterflies and I wanted to somehow incorporate that with our gifts.

I came up with a cute saying and made a butterfly with a writing prompt on it for students to complete. I really like having students write their own thoughts, it makes it so cute and personal for their moms! I also had them dip their fingers in paint and decorate their butterflies with their fingerprints for an added personal touch. I think they came out so cute!

For my younger pre-k students, I did a blank butterfly and had them draw pictures of why they love their mothers and we dictated their thoughts for them.
